Drop-in Hours, Legal Clinics, Legal Hotlines

Legal Aid organizations often have legal "clinics" or times when you can meet with an attorney in your community to discuss a civil legal issue related to money, housing, family, employment, or other issues.

Legal Clinics

Divorce Clinics: Available in Allen and Hancock Counties


Divorce, Custody, Paternity and Parenting Time Matters: Available in Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Williams, and Van Wert. These counties vary from in-person clinics to virtual clinics.

Legal Clinics

Brief Advice Clinics: Chat with an attorney about a civil legal problem related to money, housing, family, employment or other issues. This clinic is first-come, first-served, no appointments needed. Offered regularly in Ahstabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, and Lorian counties.


Common Pleas Court Advice Clinics: An appointment-only advice clinic held at The Justice Center in Cleveland. Assistance provided for civil legal issues related to Expungement, Driver's License Suspensions, Collections, Evictions/Foreclosures, Child Support, and Child Custody/Visitation.

Meet with Community Legal Aid staff for basic legal advice on issues like, eviction, divorce, custody, advance directives, debt, and other civil legal needs.

Our Legal Aid Line is the easiest way to request legal assistance from the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati, the Legal Aid Society of Southwest Ohio, LLC, and the Volunteer Lawyers Project.  You do not have to come to our offices to request legal assistance.

Legal Helpline

The Legal Helpline provides free legal information, advice, and referral for residents of Ohio age 60 and over, regardless of income or resources. Appointments are scheduled in 30-minute blocks for callers to talk to an attorney who handles Legal Helpline calls.


Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
